Creating a library of SOA text

Customise your advice wizard by building your own text library. Investing time in creating this library can save you a significant amount of time when generating Statements of Advice (SOAs). It eliminates the need to copy and paste from old SOAs, reduces editing time, and allows you to create your own strategies.

Once you’ve added text to your library, it can be easily used in every SOA you create.

How to create your text:

Templated text can be created within Settings > Practice

What areas of the wizard can be templated:

  • Scope of Advice - Advice Covered/Not Covered

  • Strategy

    • Summary

    • Advice to meet your needs

    • Risk and other considerations

    • Alternatives

  • Product Replacement reasons

  • Product Justifications

    • Product to meet goals

    • Product risks

    • Product Alternatives

  • Next Steps

  • Asset Allocation Discrepancy

  • Advice Fees

  • Commissions

  • Product Disclosure Links

  • Best Interest Statement

  • Ongoing Review

  • Important Disclosures

Setting text as default

Text can be set as default to appear in the wizard. You will need toggle on Appear in Wizard toggle when creating the text.

If this is toggle is not selected, the text will need to be manually selected within the wizard.

For example, you have created text for Social Security and Age Care for the 'Out of Scope' section and would like this to appear selected in the wizard then mark the Appear in Wizard toggle as yes.

Tips:

Copying text from Word doesn’t always maintain the same formatting as HTML, which can cause issues when pasting it into DASH.

To get the best result, follow these tips:

  1. Remove Word Formatting - Before copying, strip the text of any formatting in Word. You can do this by pasting it into a plain text editor (like Notepad) first, then copying it from there into DASH. This will eliminate any unwanted styles or hidden code.

  2. Use HTML-Compatible Applications: - If possible, copy the text from an HTML-based editor (like Notepad or any web-based editor) to ensure the formatting transfers more smoothly into DASH.

  3. Apply Formatting in DASH - Once the text is pasted into DASH, you can then easily apply formatting, such as bullet points or other styles, within the platform.
